Matrixflo Inc. provides management support services and resources to its affiliated business ventures (ABVs), which makes up the Matrixflo Group of Companies. Matrixflo Inc. may be responsible for support functions such as: human resources, marketing, sales, accounting, logistics, warehousing, and general management.

Matrixflo Inc. enables its ABVs to achieve their goals by providing critical and essential business functions, allowing them to focus on their core competencies and be market leaders in their field. In essence, Matrixflo Inc. operates as the hub for ABVs (which can include: joint ventures, divisions, partnerships, common ownership, etc.).

Don Darker

Managing Director/

Operations Leader

Don is primarily responsible for overseeing the operations of all the Matrixflo Group of Companies. Don provides many years of leadership as founder of FloTech Pump, which continues to operate successfully for over two decades.

His career started in the Engineering department of a large valve manufacturer in Lachine, then moved to Alberta to sell and distribute control valves, automation and controls. He started his first business in the 90's, which was subsequently sold to E.B. Horsman & Son. He started FloTech Pump with his late brother in 2001.

Ali Jobrani

Managing Director/

Sales Leader

Ali is responsible for driving the global sales efforts for the Matrixflo Group of Companies. As a former co-founder of Matrix Industries and sales rep for Teco Westinghouse, he has extensive background selling HV, MV, and LV electric motors, generators, pumps, fans, and other rotating equipment around the globe.

Ali uses his keen business and entrepreneurial senses to recognize opportunities and act on them, building on many years of success.

Andrew Ma

Managing Director/

Engineering Team Leader

Andrew provides a wide range of management and engineering support for the Matrixflo Group of Companies. He is a detail-oriented person with a customer service attitude with a keen interest in innovative solutions.

Andrew is experienced in rotating equipment and turbomachinery service, engineering, and sales. Andrew graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with an option in Management Sciences. He is a registered APEGA Professional Engineer and Certified Reliability Leader (CRL). In 2020, he founded Spin Doctors Reliability Solutions.

Andrew is the current chair for the non-profit RAT-Rotating and Turbomachinery Society, building community and comradery in the rotating equipment industry by sharing acquired knowledge, fostering education, and career development through organized events.
